Audi has unveiled its new-generation A6 Avant executive estate.

A length of 4,990mm is 60mm up on the previous A6 Avant, and there’s a boot capacity of 503 litres with the rear seats in place, or 1,534 litres with them folded.

Two engine options will be available, both offering 204hp – a petrol, and a mild hybrid diesel. Petrol versions will come with front-wheel drive, and diesels with Quattro four-wheel drive. Both will come with dual-clutch automatic transmission. 

The UK range will consist of Sport, S Line, and Edition 1 equipment grades. Standard features of the Sport grade will include 18in wheels, matrix LED headlights, four-zone automatic air conditioning, MMI Navigation Plus infotainment with 11.9in Virtual Cockpit Plus display and 14.5in touchscreen, wireless phone charging, surround view cameras, adaptive cruise control, park assistance, lane departure warning, camera-based traffic sign recognition, swerve assist, turn assist, front cross traffic assist, front emergency brake assist, and a traffic sign-based speed limiter.

Further features with the S Line grade will include 19in wheels, sport suspension with 20mm lower ride height, privacy glass, and S Line styling and interior trim.

Further features with the Edition 1 grade will include 20in wheels, a black exterior package, lane departure warning with emergency assist, side assist and exit warning, rear cross-traffic assist, and rear turn assist.

Orders for the new A6 Avant open on 1 April. Prices for petrol versions start at £52,510 with the Sport grade, and rise to £55,310 with the S Line grade, and £60,210 with the Edition 1 grade. Diesel prices are £56,780, £59,580, and £64,480 respectively.

The first deliveries are due in mid-June.
