Fleets who are buying minibuses now are being warned by public sector specialist Automotive Leasing to make sure that the vehicles are fitted with speed limiters in time for January 1, 2008 when a new law comes into force, which will limit minibuses to 62mph. If they’re not fitted now, the fleets will face a cost of about £675 per vehicle to have them fitted retrospectively. Minibuses will also be banned from the outside lane of the motorway.
