The Honda CR-V and Citroen C4 Picasso are the latest models to be awarded the top five-star rating from European safety testing organisation Euro NCAP.

In the four categories – adult occupant, child occupant, pedestrian and safety assist – the Honda CR-V scored 93%, 74%, 68% and 66% respectively. The C4 Picasso received 86%, 88%, 68% and 81% in the same classifications.

Euro NCAP also announced two new Advanced rewards for autonomous braking systems.

The Mitsubishi Forward Collision Mitigation, available on the brand’s Outlander, and the City Brake Control, an option on the Fiat Panda and 500L, were the recipients.
