Kwik Fit has introduced a new standardised parts pricing initiative aimed at reducing fleet costs and improving budgeting. The move sees the firm offering brake pads and discs for car and LCV ranges at identical prices for that particular model, regardless of engine, spec or trim level.
It will effectively mean a replacement discs and pads for a car such as a BMW 3-series will cost the same for an entry-level 316i ES as it will for a top-spec 330d M-sport, and there would typically be a significant price disparity between components for the two models.
Director of Kwik Fit Fleet, Peter Lambert, said: “There can be five or even 10 different versions of brake pads and discs across a single model line-up and typically pricing will vary across the range.
“We are delivering total price transparency across model ranges, which aids fleet budgeting.”
