Kia has confirmed it will unveil its fourth-generation Rio supermini at next month’s Paris motor show.
The new Rio will enter production towards the end of 2016 for Europe, with UK-specific information to follow closer to the launch, the South Korean company said.
Kia has not revealed any powertrain information at this stage – expect information to be announced at the show – but the company has claimed the new car will offer class-leading practicality and safety technology.
The current Rio model is powered by a number of engines including an 83hp 1.1-litre diesel engine which emits 115g/km of CO2, a 83hp 1.2-litre petrol which emits 115g/km of CO2, a 107hp 1.4-litre petrol which emits 147g/km of CO2 and a 90hp 1.4-litre diesel unit which emits 98g/km of CO2.
