Kia has revealed a facelifted version of its Picanto supermini ahead of its debut at the Geneva motor show in March. It will be on sale by end of the first quarter.

The 1.0-litre petrol engine has been modified to be Euro 6 emissions standards. Details are thin on the ground about the unit’s efficiency, but expect it to emit less than the current model’s 99g/km CO2.

Styling tweaks include redesigned bumpers and an update to the firm’s grille, while inside, chrome now surrounds the instrument binnacle and air vents.

Kia is offering a 7.0-inch touchscreen satellite navigation unit as an optional extra for the first time. Cruise control and speed limiter systems will also be offered.
