Kia has revealed exterior and interior images of the EV9, its new large electric SUV.

It sees Kia’s E-GMP platform augmented for the first time with three rows of seats, with six-seater and seven-seater options set to be available.

Exterior styling cues include vertical headlights and ‘star map’ LED DRLs as part of a ‘digital tiger face’ front end, while the side profile is said to be designed to combine a strong SUV identity and aerodynamic efficiency, with flush door handles and a tapered roofline.

Inside, there’s a floating panoramic dashboard, with two 12.3in touchscreens integrated with a 5in segment display.

The second-row seats can be rotated through 180 degrees, allowing occupants to interact with those in the third row. The third-row seats also offer cup holders and charging points for mobile devices.

Kia says the full unveiling of the EV9 will take place later this month. UK specs, prices, and an on-sale date are all yet to be announced.
