Kia has confirmed UK specs and prices for its new EV3.

The model, which sits below the EV6 and EV9 in Kia’s dedicated electric line-up, will come with a choice of 58.3kWh and 81.4kWh battery packs, offering maximum ranges of 267 miles and 372 miles respectively depending on spec. All versions will come with a 204hp electric motor driving the front wheels.

There will be a choice of Air, GT-Line, and GT-Line S equipment grades. Standard equipment with the Air grade will include 17in alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, a 12.3in driver display, automatic air conditioning operated via a 5.3in touchscreen, a 12.3in infotainment touchscreen with sat-nav, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, seven years’ free Kia Connect telematics access, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Standard driver assistance systems will include front and rear parking sensors, forward collision avoidance assist, highway driving assist, smart cruise control, intelligent speed limit assist, blind spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist, safe exit warning, and driver attention warning.

Further equipment with the GT-Line grade will include 19in alloy wheels, GT-Line styling, rear privacy glass, electric driver’s seat lumbar support, customisable ambient lighting, and a wireless mobile phone charger.

Further features of the GT-Line S grade will include an eight-speaker Harmon Kardon premium sound system, a customisable head-up display, a front sunroof, electric front seats with driver memory function, heated rear outer seats, ventilated front seats, a power tailgate, vehicle-to-load functionality, remote smart parking assist, a blind-spot view monitor, a 360-degree camera system, and parking collision avoidance assist.

Prices start at £32,995 for an Air model with a 58.3kWh battery, and rise to £35,995 for an 81.4kWh Air, £39,495 for an 81.4kWh GT-Line, £42,995 for an 81.4kWh GT-Line S, and £43,895 for an 81.4kWh GT-Line S with a heat pump.

Orders will open on 1 August, with the first UK deliveries expected in late 2024.
