The all-new Jaguar XF, the long awaited replacement for the S-type, will go on sale in the UK priced from £33,900 for the 2.7-litre V6 diesel early next year.

Jaguar will publicly unveil the new XF at the Frankfurt motor show on 11 September with first UK deliveries arriving in time for the new ’08 numberplate on 1 March.

The business car mainstay of the range, the 207PS V6 diesel, is capable of 0-60mph in 7.7 seconds and has a top speed of 143mph. The 2.7 diesel also has an output of 199g/km of CO2, putting it in the 29% benefit-in-kind tax band and avoiding London’s proposed highest new c-charge of £25.

The Jaguar XF is also available with a 238PS 3.0-litre V6 petrol or a 4.2-litre V8 in 298PS naturally aspirated or 416PS supercharged form.
