After 11-years at the top of the JD Power UK Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study, Lexus has lost its number one position to Jaguar. The Toyota-owned brand is now joint second place with Skoda.

Honda is fourth in the rankings, which are based on 18,000 interviews of UK car owners. Mercedes-Benz comes fifth, followed by Toyota, Audi, VW, Volvo, BMW, Nissan and Land Rover.

At the other end of spectrum, Chevrolet fairs the worst, behind Vauxhall and Fiat.

The Kia Sportage wins the top customer satisfaction score for an individual model while the Vauxhall Vectra sits at the other end of the scale.

By category, Toyota iQ is the best city car, Honda Jazz is best supermini, Skoda Octavia is the best small family car, Toyota Prius is the best family car, Lexus IS is the best compact executive, Jaguar XF is the best executive car, VW Scirocco is the best sports and cabrio car, Mercedes B-Class is the best MPV, Kia Sportage is the best compact SUV and Lexus RX is the best large SUV.
