Jaguar has teased its E-Pace compact SUV ahead of its full reveal next month.

Little is known about the new model at this stage apart from Jaguar confirming it will be powered by a range of petrol and diesel engines – likely to ape what appears in the XE saloon – with indicative pricing from £28,500.

That indicates it will slot into the Jaguar SUV range below the F-Pace – which the company claims boosted sales by 83% last year – with the all-electric I-Pace also set to join the fray next year.

“The combination of sports car looks with Jaguar performance will ensure that the E-Pace stands out,” said Ian Callum, director of design at Jaguar. “Every Jaguar is designed to excite the senses and we think E-Pace will do just that, albeit with its own individual character.”
