Fleet management software provider Jaama has launched a graduate recruitment and training programme.

The company has rapidly expanded its team this year, with two software developers and a software tester recently being appointed due to increasing demand from the fleet industry.

Stephen Ashe, the first person to join the scheme, will now follow the in-house training and development programme over the forthcoming months.

“We have wanted to launch our own graduate recruitment and training programme for some time. Now, due to our significant expansion and the requirement for a larger development team we have the capacity for mentoring,” said Martin Evans, managing director at Jaama. “2016 is proving to be another fantastic year for Jaama. We have the resources in place and continue to invest significantly in the development of our Key2 management software which leads the industry with an ever-growing number of companies implementing the technology to manage their asset base and drivers.”

Its risk management software was awarded the top prize in the risk management category at the 2014 BusinessCar Techies Awards with the judges being impressed how fleets can customise their own driver risk profiles to suit their needs.

Jaama’s Key2 risk profile module includes a direct feed from the DVLA’s licence-checking service, and fleet managers can choose risk factors weighted by driver age, endorsements, accident frequency, business miles per annum, as well as other factors such as how long a driver has held their licence. The criteria each company selects can then be accumulated to produce a total individual driver risk score set against a company’s own risk criteria.
