BMW has unveiled a facelifted version of its iX electric SUV.
Among the upgrades are increased battery capacities. The 408hp xDrive45 powertrain has a 94.8kWh battery (an increase of around 30% compared with its equivalent in the pre-facelift line-up), the 544hp xDrive60 has a 109.1kWh battery, and the 659hp M70 xDrive has a 108.8kWh battery. These equal provisional WLTP ranges of up to 374 miles, 426 miles, and 366 miles respectively.
The powertrains also offer power increases compared with their pre-facelift equivalents, of 82hp, 21hp, and 40hp respectively.
Exterior styling changes with the update include a revised front grille – which as an option can be illuminated. BMW says the most significant design changes are associated with the M Sport equipment grade, which features sculpted front and rear aprons and new aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels.
Preliminary UK prices for the updated iX range are £74,400 for an xDrive45 Sport, £77,400 for an xDrive45 M Sport, £92,200 for an xDrive60 M Sport, and £113,300 for an M70 xDrive.
The first UK customer deliveries are scheduled for May.
