Inchcape Fleet Solutions has extended its fleet management contract with financial services firm Prudential for two years and is increasing its occupational road risk management remit to include online driver profiling.
Drivers in Prudential’s 500-strong company car contract purchase fleet will also be subject to IFS’s licence verification service which monitors, via the DVLA, how many points each licence carries.
The online profiling process, using ROSPA expertise, measures human characteristics covering individual hazard perception, driving knowledge plus in-vehicle driver risk assessment.
Reports are followed up by “remedial action for employees deemed to be at risk”, Prudential’s fleet manager John Wills said: “Having measures in place to safeguard the safety of our employees is vital and that is why we are looking to implement more initiatives.”
Terry Bartlett, IFS’s managing director, claimed minimising risk and cutting accident rates among the client’s drivers generated significant financial savings while showing Prudential was “taking care of its most important resource – its employees”.
