Fleet management provider i247 Group has appointed Les Kerjenski to the newly-created position of technical director.

Kerjenski joins from Fleet Assist, where he was chief technology and operations officer, and is said to bring more than 30 years of technology experience.

He will lead a team of 25 across all technology-relate functions.

Kerjenski said: “When I met the i247 Group leadership team there was an immediate synergy. We share a common vision of harnessing technology to enhance people and deliver value for the customer.

“I’m really looking forward to leading the digital strategy and delivering a holistic approach for the group.

“A key part of that strategy will be to look at how we can utilise new technology like AI and machine learning to enhance the customer journey.”

I247 Group managing director Sam Mason said: “We are delighted to bring Les on board. His appointment is a key strategic move for us and he will be instrumental in leading i247 Group through the next stage of our digital transformation journey.

“Technology is a key part of our growth agenda – we want to ensure that our technological footprint is right for today and ready for tomorrow.

“Our goal is to work in the most proactive and predictive way possible to ensure the optimal experience and outcomes are delivered for our customers.”

I247 Group says Kerjenski is the latest in a series of senior appointments it has made this year, including five additional IT software developers, a range of new appointments within its data and analytical teams, and strategic commercial team hires such as Dean Hedger as key account director and Charlene Tattersall as key account manager.
