Fleet management company Grosvenor Leasing has launched a consultancy arm to help fleets switch to low-emission or electric vehicles.

Called 0Zone, the service offers advice on how to develop low-emission vehicle policies and assist with sourcing demonstration vehicles.

According to the firm’s CEO, Shaun Barritt, the move towards electric vehicles is “not going to go away”, adding that fleets need to be proactive and start planning now for the changing landscape.

“Most company drivers have spent their entire working lives driving traditional petrol or diesel vehicles and a key factor in making a smooth transition is to communicate with them and get their buy-in,” he said. “It’s also vital to understand the current opportunities, and limitations, these vehicles offer so that timely decisions can be made, and begin to budget around the financial implications and forecast what the fleet operation will look like in years to come.”
