Chancellor George Osborne is expected to slash various departmental budgets in a bid to save the country money, and there have been repeated warnings in the past few weeks of fuel duty hikes.
It has also been rumoured that Osborne could increase the cost of insuring vehicles, and there is an expectation that he will pump money towards the construction of Crossrail 2 – between Surrey and Hertfordshire – and HS3 – between Manchester and Leeds – as well as various road improvement schemes.
