Skoda has added an economy-focused Greenline model its Superb range, which has a predicted fuel consumption figure of 76.4mpg and CO2 emissions of 96g/km.

The Greenline is powered by the firm’s 120hp 1.6-litre diesel engine, and is equipped with start/stop technology, a brake engine energy recovery system, longer gear ratios and low resistance tyres to save fuel.

Skoda claims the vehicle is able to travel 1100 miles on a single tank of fuel, partly thanks to a large fuel tank.

The Superb Greenline is expected in the UK by the end of the year. Pricing and specification details will be confirmed nearer to the vehicle’s launch date.
