Fiat Professional pulled the wraps off the facelifted Doblo Cargo in Hanover before announcing its plan to renew its entire light commercial vehicle range within 24 months – a process that began with the launch of the new Ducato large van in July.

The refreshed Doblo features restyled exterior and interiors, and customers can now specify the van with three seats. It’s still offered in two heights, two wheelbases and as a panel van, combi and small dropside pick-up in the form of the Work Up.

It retains a top payload of 1.0 tonne and maximum load volume of 5.0m3.

Fiat Professional brand director Henrik Starup claimed the four variants of the 1.3 and 1.6 Multijet diesels would deliver up to 40% more torque than previously, adding that the 90hp 1.3 Ecojet version would emit 115g/km of CO2 and achieve 64mpg.

The brand said it based the style of the new Doblo Cargo, which will go on sale in the UK in March 2015, on the Ducato, with more fluid lines to give it a less bulky appearance than its predecessor
