Renault has revealed a facelifted version of its Clio supermini ahead of it going on sale in October.

The French company confirmed that the Clio will receive a new 110hp 1.5-litre diesel engine, but has not revealed the rest of the engine line-up, though it is expected it will remain in line with the current range.

Outside, the front grille has been redesigned, while Renault has added four new body colour options – Mars Red, Titanium Grey, Arctic White and Iron Blue – to the paint palette.

Inside, the Clio is available with three different multimedia systems depending on trim level, while the revised Clio is the first Renault supermini to be fitted with a Bose sound system.

The Clio also offers front and rear parking sensors and a camera, while higher-end versions will have the option of a hands-free parking assistant.

Pricing and specification information will be revealed next month, and the Renault Sport Clio hot hatch is set to unveiled at the start of next month.
