Renault has unveiled an updated version of its Austral medium SUV.

The model has received design changes in line with Renault’s new design language, including new front and rear ends and a new light signature.

Inside, there are new front seats and upholstery, while new apps are available via the infotainment system. New cabin soundproofing has been introduced, while newly available features include a new digital rear-view camera and ‘contextual’ cruise control.

As before, there is a single powertrain option, a 200hp full hybrid. Renault says new shock absorbers deliver improved damping capabilities.

The facelifted Austral will continue to be available with a choice of Techno, Techno Esprit Alpine, and Iconic Esprit Alpine equipment grades. It will be made available in the UK in the second half of this year. Full specs and prices are yet to be announced.
