Rental giant Europcar is trialling an advanced version of its breakdown service in Scotland that’s designed to help customers stranded in more remote locations.

Roadside Assistance Express can be purchased at time of rental, and means a replacement vehicle will be brought to the customer if they suffer a failure, rather than the vehicle being recovered to the closest Europcar branch.

“We understand that customers driving in Scotland can drive to remote locations, often several hours away from a Europcar branch,” said Europcar UK managing director Ken McCall. “This is an optional service, so those customers who want the added piece of mind and convenience can book it along with their vehicle to guarantee a stress-free experience.”
