Company car drivers have been slammed for driving inefficiently.
Driver training and risk management specialists Peak Performance’s chief concern was the use of engine braking to slow down a car when approaching roundabouts and obstacles, a practice that can significantly add to a vehicle’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The driver trainers also found that many drivers had poor overtaking discipline and hazard management skills, and said that both areas needed to be addressed.
