Land Rover has revealed its smallest, greenest concept yet, the LRX.

At 149mm shorter and 205mm lower than the current Freelander, the LRX is looking to appeal to the buyer who wants the luxury and benefits of an off-roader, but without the tank-like proportions.

Land Rover has also indicated the LRX will be their most environmentally friendly car to date, with potential CO2 emissions of only 120g/km. To achieve this, the concept features a hybrid electric drive that would power the vehicle through the rear wheels up to 20mph in slow moving traffic before the diesel engine kicks in.
