The success of Citroen’s upmarket DS brand in the UK signals that the range has achieved the correct recognition, given the country’s demand for premium vehicles, according to Yves Bonnefont, Citroen director of strategy for DS and C lines.

DS volume has grown 37% year-to-date in the UK, he said, with two-out-of-three vehicles sold to conquest customers.

Earlier this year, Citroen UK boss Linda Jackson told BusinessCar that the DS line-up had helped grow presence on fleet choice lists, with business sales accounting for a quarter of total DS sales.

Meanwhile, Bonnefont said that the seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso that’s soon to launch is well-positioned for fleets, offering 98g/km CO2. “It is unique in that category and we believe is a very very attractive offer for our fleet customers,” he added.
