EV drivers can now pay for charging at ChargePlace Scotland chargers via the Zap-Pay platform.
ChargePlace Scotland, which operates with support from Transport Scotland, has more than 2,800 chargers.
Zap-Pay is the payment service from Zapmap, with which ChargePlace Scotland also shares a live data partnership, meaning that users of the Zapmap app and web map can see live status updates on its charge points at any time.
Transport Scotland’s Chris Waldron said: “ChargePlace Scotland has played a significant role in the transition to zero-emission vehicles over the last decade.
“A roaming partnership with Zapmap will help us to continue on that journey towards a transport system that is sustainable, inclusive and accessible.”
Zapmap head of CPO networks Matt Lloyd said: “Integrating ChargePlace Scotland’s network into Zap-Pay is a great result for both current and future EV drivers, enabling quick and easy charging throughout the country.
“It’s impressive to see Scotland’s ongoing commitment to developing the public EV charging infrastructure and we’re delighted to play a part in the transition to sustainable transport.”
