General Motors UK announced today that it has finally assumed operational responsibility for sales remarketing, distribution and aftersales services for the ailing Cadillac brand that failed to make either a retail or business sales impression under Pendragon Group stewardship.

In a move that has been consistently predicted by BusinessCar, GMUK can now finally begin a sales campaign to business users with the 3-series rivalling BLS.

The new arrangement of the premium brands that also includes Corvette and Hummer brand will be led by Saab GB boss Jonathan Nash.

GM said it will refocus the Cadillac dealers into a network of five outlets in London, Reading, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Birmingham.
