BYD has revealed UK specs and prices for its Sealion 7 electric SUV.

The model is described as the fourth in BYD’s ‘Ocean’ line-up, following on from the Dolphin, Seal, and Seal U, and is a large SUV measuring 4,830 mm in length.

It is being made available with a choice of 82.5kWh and 91.3kWh batteries, offering ranges of up to 300 miles and 312 miles respectively on the official WLTP combined cycle. Maximum charging rates are 150kW and 230kW respectively.

Available power outputs will be 313hp (rear-wheel drive) and 530hp (all-wheel drive).

The Sealion 7 will be offered with a choice of Comfort, Design, and Excellence equipment grades. Standard features of the Comfort grade will include heated seats, dual-zone climate control, a 15.6-inch rotatable screen, a wireless charging pad, and V2L capability.

Further features of the Design grade will include 20in alloy wheels, while further features of the Excellence grade will include Nappa leather seats and a head-up display.

Prices will start at £44,990 for the Comfort grade (with 313hp and the 82.5kWh battery), £49,290 for Design (530hp 82.5kWh), and £57,290 for Excellence (530hp 91.3kWh).

UK sales of the Sealion 7 will begin in the first quarter of 2025.
