It’s an impressive move into double figures for Enterprise Rent-A-Car as the rental firm picks up this BusinessCar award for the 10th consecutive year.
The leading rental company has had a busy 2015. In August it announced that commercial vehicle rental firm Burnt Tree, which it acquired in 2014, would be merged with its own commercial vehicle arm to create the new Enterprise Flex-E-Rent brand, with a fleet of more than 25,000 vans and trucks.
That move followed the April acquisition of City Car Club, which it described as Britain’s largest independent car-sharing club with 30,000 members and 800 vehicles across 17 UK cities. It builds on the Enterprise CarShare brand aimed at the public sector.
Enterprise appointed a new UK and Ireland managing director in the summer, with Khaled Shahbo replacing Mike Nigro, who became vice-president of European operations, and is also launched a new website and app during 2015. The app allows customers to make and manage bookings, while the website aims
to improve the customer experience and increase transparency in the booking process
