BMW scooped a brace of prizes for its green initiatives at the ACFO Awards this week as fleet decision makers recognised the top performers in the sector.
The BMW 320d, with C02 emissions of 109g/km, was named Green Vehicle of the Year and the EfficientDynamics low emissions technology, which features in the model, won the Best Environmental Initiative award.
The Volkswagen Golf picked up the Fleet Car of the Year award for the fourth successive year and in the commercial vehicle sector the Ford Transit Connect and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter retained their respective awards as Small Van of the Year and Large Van of the Year.
In its 27th year, the ACFO Awards expanded to cover categories other than car and vans of the year.
Marshall Leasing was named Fleet Services Company of the Year and Bosch took the Fleet Safety Initiative award for its ESP with load-adaption control that features on a growing number of LCVs.
