Leaseplan’s public sector arm, Automotive Leasing, has extended its contract to supply vehicles to NHS Blood and Transplant services for a further three years.
Automotive Leasing division supplied vehicles to the NHS division since 1997, and currently provides 200 machines to the Special Health Authority.
The Leaseplan arm mainly provides rapid response vehicles which are fitted with cooling systems for delicate loads including tissue and stem cell samples – plus a small number of cars.
It has also secured an additional order for 60 commercial vehicles including Transit and Transit Connect vans as well as specialist refrigerated vehicles to keep blood and other blood products viable for transfusion.
“Automotive Leasing has worked with NHS Blood & Transplant for almost twenty years, and we are proud to work with such an important service that is so dedicated to saving and improving lives in the UK,” said Tim Meadows, Brand Director Automotive Leasing.
“This relationship has been successful mainly due to Automotive Leasing’s commitment to delivering value for money, alongside our rapid response service and commercial vehicle expertise,” he added.
“We are really excited to build upon this relationship, and to further support this vital service with the inclusion of Donor Cards in all new vehicles delivered across our UK fleet.”
