Audi will spend the next 12 months filling out its A5 range with new entry points for both fuel types below the current two petrol and two diesel alternatives.

The brand is promising a £26,000 entry point for the 170PS 1.8 turbo petrol A5, coming in late autumn, with a 2.0-litre arriving in around 12 months’ time. “There will also be more diesels – though not as soon – and they will be smaller engines,” the A5’s head of product marketing Jurgen Klaschka told BusinessCar.
