ATS Euromaster has signed a three-year agreement to fit Michelin tyres across Fleet Hire’s 4500 fleet of cars and vans.
The contract covers 65% of vehicles that are supplied by Fleet Hire with a full repair and maintenance package.
Fleet Hire’s van customers also benefit from access to a roadside rapid response service for tyre-related breakdown. The Birmingham-based tyre-fitting company said its technicians would aim to arrive on-site with a correctly-sized replacement tyre.
“Michelin has been our first choice fitment for years; it’s a long-term relationship which benefits both our business and our customers,” said George Reid, technical operations manager for Fleet Hire.
“We know from comparing the performance of Michelin tyres with other brands we see on new vehicles that Michelin tyres typically last longer. This helps us to reduce replacement costs and results in less downtime. It’s a win-win situation,” said Reid.
