Leasing giant Arval and PSA Peugeot-Citroen have signed an agreement to offer enhanced telematics services to Arval customers with Citroen, DS and Peugeot vehicles.

According to the companies, from the end of the year data gathered by PSA will be used by fleet managers to help track and optimise their fleet.

Fleet managers running PSA vehicles will be able to see fuel consumption levels on individual journeys, meaning managers can track how efficient different drivers are when car-club or shared vehicles.

Managers will also be alerted to possible fuel fraud thanks to data from the fuel gauge. According to Arval and PSA, they can be informed of changes to tank levels or inconsistencies compared with fuel purchases used by a fuel card.

Additionally, the telematics service will be able to provide real-time transmissions of vehicle alerts to managers.

“This collaboration with the PSA Group gives us the opportunity to offer our clients an enriched Arval Active Link [the firm’s telematics service] offering, enhanced with new possibilities in terms of fleet optimisation”, said Arval chief digital officer Angela Montacute.
