Audi‘s all-new A8, revealed here, will be the first car in its segment to get below 161g/km and qualify for the 20% capital allowance banding.

The new A8 goes on sale in the UK in March 2010 and aims to be the sportiest yet most efficient car in the luxury car segment.

Initially there will be four engines available including a 204PS 3.0-litre diesel, which in front-wheel drive form will produce just 159g/km CO2. There will also be a 250PS 3.0 TDI and a 350PS 4.2-litre diesel. For petrol fans there will also be a 372PS 4.2 FSI engine.

The 3.0-litre TDI car, featuring stop-start, has a fuel economy figure of 47.1mpg.
