John Pryor has been appointed the new chairman of the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO).
Pryor’s assumption of the role was announced at ACFO’s AGM yesterday (3 June 2014).
The move follows the recent departure of former chairman Damian James, who resigned from his position and the organisation due to a promotion at Bracknell Forest Council, which saw him relinquish his fleet responsibilities.
Pryor’s day job is group fleet and travel manager for the Arcadia Group.
He said of the move: “I just wanted to publicly pass on the association’s appreciation and thanks to Damian James, who has recently stood down as Chairman of ACFO.
“Damian supported the association for many years, initially in the South West region, then at Board level and finally as Chairman. We wish him all the best for the future.
The AGM also saw Phil Redman, fleet manager for IBM, re-elected to ACFO’s board, along with Debbie Floyde, fleet manager for Bauer Media, who joins Redman as a director.
Caroline Sandall, fleet manager for Barclays Bank, was re-elected as deputy chairman.
