Vauxhall has revealed details of its new UK management team.
The new line-up includes James Taylor being confirmed as permanent managing director, having served in the role in an acting capacity since last July.
Vauxhall has also announced the appointment of Phil Douglass as marketing director, and Steve Wass as regional operations and sales director.
The news from Vauxhall announcement follows similar recent announcements from fellow Stellantis group brands Citroen and Peugeot.
Taylor combined his duties as acting managing director with his previous role of B2B director for Stellantis UK. Before that, Taylor worked for Vauxhall as sales and marketing director, and fleet sales and remarketing director.
He said: “Vauxhall is on a very exciting journey. Transforming into an electric-only brand from 2028 is a significant task for the brand, and I’m excited to keep working with my colleagues towards that goal, and to continue improving our product and servicing offers across the country.”
Stellantis UK managing director Paul Willcox said: “It’s a pleasure to have James continue with Vauxhall as our new managing director. Having impressed as acting managing director alongside his B2B duties, it was an easy decision to have him step into the role as a permanent managing director. I wish James and the rest of the new management team the best of luck in their new roles and driving the Vauxhall brand forward.”
New marketing director Douglass was previously Vauxhall’s head of product pricing, and replaces Adam Wood, who was recently appointed as UK managing director for Peugeot.
Douglass said: “With a new bold and pure design and an emphasis on electrification, Vauxhall is undergoing a significant change as a brand.
“It’s a very exciting time to be taking on the role of marketing director, and I’m looking forward to continuing working with my colleagues, new and old, to build the brand presence in the UK.”
New regional operations and sales director Wass was most recently sales director for Peugeot UK, and before that the brand’s marketing director. He replaces Stephanie Howson, who is moving to serve as director of customer experience and training for Stellantis UK.
Wass said: “Vauxhall is going through a transformation at the moment in terms of its new electrified product line-up and its simpler customer offering.
“I’m very excited to join the brand in its 120th anniversary year and continue to build Vauxhall’s customer and sales operations across the UK.”
