A Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) app has been launched by Fleetondemand.
The Mobilleo app, said to be the world’s first of its kind, is available for businesses via desktop, IOS and Android.
Fleetondemand says the app has been designed for companies ranging from SMEs to global organisations.
Its launch follows three years of development, and a recent multimillion pound investment in Fleetondemand by investment company BGF.
The app integrates thousands of public and private transportation providers into a single, configurable platform, allowing users to find, book and pay for their entire business journey in one place. This includes parking, car hire, flights, trains, accommodation, restaurants, airport lounges, car clubs, buses, taxis and more.
Mobilleo assesses each journey and presents all available modes of transport, including comparative costs of driving personal and company vehicles on business.
The app accesses hundreds of sources of data to provide a total cost of journey breakdown in a door-to-door itinerary.
Fleet managers on desktop can adopt mobility policies and analyse data on an employee level to identify total cost, behaviour and even travel policy breaches.
Users can also track and analyse all employee travel data when making mobility strategy decisions.
The app can also set regulations for employees such as maximum spend limits, and restrictions on routes of transport, providers or ticket classes.
Fleetondemand CEO Justin Whitston said: “When we started planning and scoping Mobilleo back in April 2015, we had a firm vision to build a platform that could change the face of mobility, giving employees and businesses globally the opportunity to optimise their transport policies, reduce emissions and make significant cost savings.
“The technology can be configured for different mobility use cases: from SMEs wishing to save costs by consolidating travel booking and spend, to a large corporate whose mobility objectives include alternatives to company cars, or to drive total cost of mobility intelligence.”
Whitston said the launch of Mobilleo followed thousands of development hours as it was built from the ground up.
He added: “As a business, we placed a stake in the ground around mobility early and have invested heavily to build this first-of-a-kind platform.
“We are incredibly excited about the future development roadmap and look forward to expanding into Europe and beyond.”
According to Fleetondemand, the app differs from many others because it can be offered as a bespoke solution to the exact needs and preferences of an organisation.
Mobilleo’s consultancy team works with other internal teams to deliver a platform that integrates successfully within their framework.
