BMW’s general manager for corporate sales Matt Bristow will leave the company in early September to work as BCA’s manufacturer sales director.
Bristow has been with BMW for 16 years including positions at BMW Financial Services and Alphabet, and took the top fleet job at the beginning of 2014 to replace Steve Chater, who was promoted to become BMW’s UK product boss.
At BCA, Bristow will report to sales director Craig Purvey, and will be responsible for the remarketing giant’s relationships with customers and finance companies.
“He brings a wealth of experience and market knowledge to our sales team which will prove invaluable as we continue to secure significant new contracts in the manufacturer and captive finance sectors,” Purvey said. “Matt’s appointment underlines our commitment to attract the very best from across the automotive sector as we develop a range of automotive service solutions to add value right along the vehicle supply chain.”
“This appointment strengthens our manufacturer team significantly as we continue to develop a broad range of solutions to meet the needs of our customers,” he added.
Bristow leaves BMW on 9 September, and the manufacturer said it will be recruiting a replacement “in due course”.
