1. What was your first job?
‘Corn karting’ on an Essex farm – I drove a tractor.
2. What was your first company car?
.therefore a Massey Ferguson.
3. What did you listen to on your last car journey?
It was actually an old ACDC CD I found – If You Want Blood.
4. What one thing do you wish you could do better?
The lottery!
5. What’s your biggest achievement?
I did the product strategy for the Transit we brought to market in 2006 so I’m immensely proud to see it go on and be so successful.
6. Who is your role model?
My father.
7. What’s the stupidest thing you’ve done?
Attempting any home electrics because I blow up substations!
8. What was the most hotly debated topic at your last meeting?
The 2009 commercial vehicle industry.
9. What’s in your garage?
A Westfield racing kit car.
10. What’s the worst thing about your job?
I think the worst thing is probably the outside world that doesn’t get vans. Everyone who isn’t in the van market doesn’t understand it and as a result there are a lot of misconceptions about the industry.
11. What one law would you make or change?
It’s politically very incorrect but I’d have to go for speed cameras, especially the pointless ones on open stretches of road.
12. What keeps you awake at night?
Generally very little. Once I go to bed I decide I’ve got to have some sleep!
13. Who is your ideal celebrity date?
Charlize Theron. Can I put my phone number on this too?
