1 What was your first job?

A marketing manager at a Fine Fare supermarket. It was a fantastic introduction to a very fast-moving retail business.

2 What was your first company car, and what do you drive now?

A Ford Cortina and I now drive my fourth Mercedes E-class.

3 What did you listen to on your last car journey?

BBC Radio 4 Today. A great way to start your day.

4 What one thing do you wish you could do better?

Play musical instruments, especially the saxophone.

5 What’s your biggest achievement?

Personally – being partly responsible for two amazing children; professionally – being appointed as MD of Fuel Genie.

6 What are your three favourite films?

Out of Africa, On Golden Pond and The Color Purple. If you have a spare few hours do try to see them.

7 What’s the stupidest thing you’ve done?

Where do I start? It’s a cliché but it really is important to make mistakes and learn from them.

8 What was the most hotly debated topic at your last meeting

Brexit and the implications.

9 What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind?

Formula 1, and has been for far too many years!

10 What’s the worst thing about your job?

Nothing. It’s a great company with great people and fantastic products and services

11 What one law would you make or change?

A life sentence should be for life.

12 What did you want to be when you grew up?

Successful and happy.

Beyoncé.
