A Renault Megane Scenic.

A Japanese language course.

4 What one thing do you wish you could do better?

Speak (and write) Japanese!

5 What’s your biggest achievement?

Passing seventh dan in the martial art of Iaido (way of the Japanese sword) in Japan. And having one of my songs played on Radio 1 [also see answer 12].

Whether or not to trademark and copyright our new animation series on road safety.

An antique fireplace, the very first Self Defence and Beating Crime books I wrote (covered in dust), old accounts (probably way over six years old by now), a lawn mower and other gardening equipment. And a cuddly toy!

Dealing with finances.

Getting musical inspiration and writing songs. I have to react straightaway even though this means playing the piano at 3am.

13 Who is your ideal celebrity date?

George Clooney, to talk him into taking the lead role in our new, true historical film epic about a bear. But not to be the bear! [Fay is also MD of Goodmedia, an independent film company.]
