Vauxhall has confirmed it will add the firm’s new 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine to its Adam city car range during 2014.
The 115hp unit will be the range-topping engine choice, coming in above the 100hp 1.4-litre option that’s currently the most powerful offered, and it should also be the only one below 100g/km.
That’s because Adam brand manager Ian Mitchell confirmed there are no plans to put a diesel engine in the Fiat 500 rival, citing weight and cost issues.
