I’ve inherited our Kia Optima long-term test car from contributor Guy Bird.
I first wound up with it on the hottest weekend of the year, during which I was intending to tool around in my 23-year-old VW Golf GTI, but ditched it for the Optima because the latter car had aircon. Having jumped out of an exceedingly complicated BMW, I instantly warmed to the Kia’s no-fuss nature. Despite the amount of kit it has, it’s clean, straightforward and easy to use.
That’s a welcome breath of fresh air in age of often-complicated fleet transport.
