Screen specialist Auto Windscreens has developed a new app known as Auto-m8 for its customers with the intention of improving accident management, assisting with whole-life costs and storing documents.
The Assist function guides company car drivers through the accident process and connects them directly to the fleet manager, police or insurer among other things; the Stats function stores running costs data and develops reports; the Vault function stores policy documents and other paperwork and the Remind function allows users to set alerts for elements such as serving, MoTs and insurance renewals.
Richard Barnes, creative director of Auto-m8, said: “We know the job of the fleet manager has become increasingly demanding over the past few years, with the rising cost of fuel, the pressure to run greener vehicles and the duty of care employers have to employees, as outlined in recent legislation.
“Auto-m8’s six functions make life that little bit easier – from tracking spend and efficiency, to helping to ensure vehicles are properly maintained and dealing with accidents, should they occur.”
