The BusinessCar Fleet Technology Awards – The Techies – are back for 2010, returning after a successful inaugural outing last year.
The Techies are devised to reward those companies and suppliers picked out as the ones making fleet operation cheaper, greener, safer and more efficient.
The number of entries was up on last year’s already impressive quantity, as some of the biggest names in the business car industry put themselves forward across 11 categories as diverse as best fleet management system, best car safety device and best green developments.
The judging panel was also expanded, with BusinessCar blogger, technology champion and Bracknell Forest Council fleet manager Damian James invited to help the expert editorial team pick out the most deserving entry in each category.
In many sectors we’ve also chosen one, or in some cases even two, Highly Commended companies where competition was particularly fierce and we felt entries deserved recognition despite not taking the overall prize.
So congratulations to the winners, and those Highly Commended, in what was a spectacularly competitive field, and thank you to all those who took the time to enter. The full run-down is at www.businesscar.co.uk/techies. Or click on the Techies tab in the left panel.
Feel free to leave your feedback, praise or criticism online or by emailing editorial@businesscar.co.uk.
