Vauxhall‘s Corsavan Ecoflex, its first van to have start/stop technology, is now on sale.
The 1.3-litre 73hp diesel has official figures of 70.6mpg, a 12% improvement on its predecessor.
The Euro-5 compliant engine also means CO2 emissions are down by 14g/km to 105g.
Vauxhall said drivers “who use their vans in congested city streets, where the Corsavan’s start/stop function will come into its own, will see the biggest gains in fuel consumption, with an official urban figure of 58.9mpg.
Corsavan Ecoflex start/stop models, cost £11,100 – £220 more than the current equivalent without the technology.
