Leasing number one Lex has won a 3350-vehicle deal with RAC.
Under the four-year agreement Lex will supply and manage vehicles on a contract hire basis with full maintenance to RAC Rescue and RAC Auto Windscreens.
RAC’s 700 cars will be a three-years/60,000-mile agreement and its 2650 vans will be run for five years/120,000 miles.
The deal, a renewal of an existing agreement between the two firms, is worth about £14m a year.
“We are delighted RAC has chosen Lex as its vehicle management supply partner for another four years,” said Lex managing director Jon Walden.
“We have close links with our former sister company and have built up an in-depth understanding of their particular needs and operating methods. We are now looking forward to working in partnership with the RAC,” said Walden.
RAC is owned by Norwich Union’s parent firm Aviva, and Walden added that Lex was also looking forward to “developing our relationship with Norwich Union”.
