The recession has led to a 30% fall in the number of face-to-face meetings, according to a new survey.
Conference call provider Powwownow claims cost of travel and time out of the office are behind the drop, with 31% of the 2000 respondents surveyed saying they are being encouraged to make use of tele- and web-conferencing. That has led to a 20% increase in usage during 2009.
