The first of Citroen‘s DS models, the DS3, will launch at the Frankfurt motor show next month with a version promising emissions of 99g/km.
The DS3, which is designed as a premium supermini, will offer customers a high lever of personalisation in the same manner as the Fiat 500 or BMW‘s Mini.
As well as the choice of having it in the body colour, the roof will be available in a choice of four shades, black, white, blue and red. Owners can also pick from six different interior colours, and can also personalise the wing mirrors and exterior rubbing strips.
The DS3 will come with a choice of five engines, two diesels and three petrols. Citroen claim the two diesels – a 90PS and a 110PS – will offer emissions of just 99g/km and 115g/km, while the petrols will emit between 136 and 160g/km.
Despite claiming to be one of the smallest vehicles in its class, Citroen also says the DS3 will have one of the largest boots, at 285 litres.
Specification will not be set until closer to the car’s launch next spring, but it will offer such kit as Bluetooth, cruise control and satnav.
Pricing is also yet to be set, and will be announced closer to the launch date.
